All Us All The Time Wishes You A Happy Halloween

Raven
The Night of All Hallows Eve

Twas the night of All Hallow’s Eve, when all through the cemetery
All the creatures were stirring, and all quite merry.
Shrunken heads were hung on tree branches with care,
In hopes that a great demon would soon be there.

The witches were starting to rise out of their beds,
While visions of spells and magic danced in their heads.
The mummy was nestled all snug in his wrap
As he began to awake from his eternal nap.

When out by the crypt there arose such a clatter,
They all hovered over to see what was the matter.
When, what to their demonic eyes should transpire,
But a black hearse and a very well dressed vampire.

With a skeleton driver, so lively and quick,
They knew in a moment it must be Vampire Nick.
More rapid than vultures his bats they came,
And he moaned, and wailed, and called them by name!

“Now Dagger! Now, Slasher! Now, Lasher and Scratchen.
On, Blade! On, Spade! On, on Slicer, and Gashen.
To the top of the tombstones! To the top of the cemetery walls!
Now hunt away! Hunt away! Hunt away all!”

Then like those bats that vampire did fly
Like a soaring eagle against a moonlit sky.
So up to the crypt-top he flew
With his undead driver and his bats too.

And then they heard a howling on the roof
The scratching and pawing of a werewolf.
As the shrunken heads started to scream and turn around
Down the crypt Werewolf and Vampire Nick came with a bound.

The zombies started to arise from their graves
And the night dwellers emerged from their caves.
A banshee played harp and began her song
As a trio of bridge trolls sang along.

Vampire Nick in that fantastic suit
Started handing to the witches fresh eye of newt.
They were thrilled and they cackled as they grabbed their brooms.
They chanted spells as they danced on the tombs.

Then he presented the werewolf with a giant bone
And the mummy a purple velvet lined casket of his very own.
The cemetery was filled with eerie laughter and shrills
All the creatures of the night were getting their thrills.

They shrieked and danced and partied away,
The zombies all got new limbs for the ones lost from decay.
All the undead received new toys
Including a couple of obnoxious teenage boys.

Then Vampire Nick reached in to his cape and without a word
Pulled out an extraordinary beautiful raven black bird.
You could hear it call as it flew in to the moonlit sky out of sight
“Happy All Hallows Eve, and to all a very frightening night!”

All Us All the Time...Happy Friday the 13th

Pondering the potential of some bad luck.
Hoping your day does not run a muck.

Running late as you’ve encountered a never-ending traffic jam.
Then finding out your first client of the day is reminiscent of the son of Sam.

You decided to wear white to show off that nice fresh latte stain
as you have come to the conclusion your first client really is insane.

Oh how lovely now your computer has gone on the blitz
and the support guys, well, are basically a couple of twits.

You have assured them numerous times everything is plugged-in.
Guest what? You have just discovered you are all out of ibuprofen.

You finally figured out your computer problems all on your own
to the serenity of a constantly ringing phone.

Oh no! Is that a psychotic sadistic knife-slashing maniac?
Not to worry looks like your first client has just come back.

Is it possible to make a project more cumbersome?
Is it possible for your head to throb so hard to explode your cranium?

Perhaps it would have been best to stay in bed
with the covers firmly pulled up over your head.

But how could this day have been foreseen?
Well it is Friday and it is thirteen.

Happy Friday the 13th

All Us All the Time...Autumn Leaf Gift Tags

Autumn Leaf Purple Gift TagsTo and From Gift TagMy sister and I got thinking that maybe not only would folks want to send happy fall greeting cards, but they also might want to give happy fall gifts too. My sister and I know as a fact, that we love getting happy fall gifts. With this in mind, we decided to extend our contemporary Autumn Maple Leaf design from our fall stationery to gift tags too. These tags are unique in that they are like a button, 2.25” in diameter and made out of a sturdy metal shell with a mylar protective coating a ribbon for hanging. They can be hung on bottles of wine or vinegar, or placed on packages. They even add a special touch to homemade loafs of pumpkin bread that you may be giving for happy fall gifts or bringing to a Thanksgiving dinner. As a short side-note here, getting a loaf of homemade pumpkin bread as a happy fall gift, does in fact, make my sister and I very happy. Hum, I may be losing focus here. Any hoo, now available on our site along with our Halloween gift tags and our fiendishly felted tags, are Autumn Maple Leaf gift tags, sold in sets of four with coordinating To & From labels on the back.

All Us All The Time...Autumn Leaf Greetings

Brown Autumn Leaf Greeting CardMy sister decided to take a break from her devious designing for Halloween and illustrated a set of contemporary maple leaf designs for happy fall greetings. A pattern of maple leaves with a slightly abstract feel, gives this stationery a very sophisticated edge. The color palette is quite bold pairing up dark brown with a deep gold, burgundy with a smoky gray, a light purple with dark brown, and then a pumpkin orange with a light peach. All striking combinations. If you want to send warm wishes for fall with a unique and classy greeting card, this is the stationery set for you. We are selling our Maple Leaf Autumn Greeting stationery in sets of 12, with 6 different color combinations, 2 of each.

All Us All the Time Fiendishly Felted Feline...We make gift giving ghoulish.

Fiendishly Felted FelineI have a confession, and please, please, do not tell my sister. I don’t want to ruin her reputation as a fiendish felter of ghoulish gifts, but her latest piece of work is, well, uh, it is, okay here is the thing, her latest piece of work is...CUTE! Again, please don’t tell her I told you that about her fiendishly felted feline, Witchy Kitty, she is pretty proud of her fiendish ghoulish reputation.

This little creature is hand sewn from wool felt with a small pocket on both sides. The pockets are hand-stitched and the perfect size for a sweet little treat. Of course when you think of Halloween kitties, you think of black, but my sister’s favorite color is purple. I think you see our grave dilemma here. My sister though, is not only a fiendish felter but a clever one as well. She did one side in black wool with a purple pocket and the other side in purple wool with a black pocket. In other words it looks precious no matter which side you are looking at. Also at 5”, this bewitching felted feline makes an ideal stocking stuffer for those Halloween stockings hung by the chimney with care...what?!?

Fiendish Felted Feline
Any hoo, I guess I should warn you that there is a risk with having this little stuffed Halloween feline decoration, and that is you may find it too irresistible to put away at the end of the season and it will just have to stay out with you all year.

All Us All the Time Felted Goodness – Wool Felt Fall Leaf Gift Tags

Purple Wool Felt Leaf Gift TagAs you can tell I am running a little bit behind on my postings. Spent all yesterday working on our Fall and Halloween Newsletter, which my sister did a fantastic header for it, on the fly as usual. Meaning that at 8:30pm last night I send her a draft copy to review and go “...uh, you know that awesome Halloween trunk you did, yeah, how hard would that be to work up into a header for this newsletter that, by-the-way, I am wanting to send out first thing in the morning”. Oh yes, she loves me. The important part of this story is that it was an awesome header. It has our normal logo trunk “Halloweenized” and then a fearsome black raven flying in the background. She went above and beyond as usual.

Speaking of newsletters, if you are not already a subscriber, now is the time to sign-up. We are offering a special for first-time sign-ups of free shipping on their first order. Plus with each newsletter we send out, around 6 to 8 a year, we offer % off discounts. In addition, if you sign-up in the next few days, we will also send you a link to the Fall and Halloween Newsletter we just sent out. Such a bargain.

Okay, now speaking of wool felt leaf gift tags, we just added them to our site last night. I know I am not alone in that fall is my favorite time of year, I may be in the fact that winter is a very close second, but I do love fall the best with the crispness of the air, the chill that settles in the night and stays through morning, and the shades of color the earth takes on, especially of the fall leaves. We thought that others who enjoy this time of year may also enjoy our latest addition to our felted goodness, wool felt leaf gift tags. They are done in a pleasant fall color palette of brown, gold, sage green, and purple. The wool gift tags are hand sewn and embellished with hand stitching and buttons with coordinating ribbons. Each leaf tag has a small pocket for small token or to and from note. I like to hang them around bottles of wine or vinegar to give as hostess gifts. Each set comes with four wool felt leaf gift tags.

I will be posting about more felted goodness tomorrow or should I say feline felted goodness.

All Us All the Time October Tip – Halloween Mischievous Menus

WithcyKittyIt’s here, it’s finally here! The month of October has arrived. A time to go out and buy pumpkins and gourds, a time to go in to storage and get out all those gorgeous decorations including your skull candelabra, tombstone lawn ornaments, cemetery bones, stuffed ravens, spooky spiders, black cats, flying bats, and witches’ hats. Now I would imagine that after a year in storage there is a possibility that they could be covered all in cobwebs and dust. If this is the case...how excellent for you! Yes get out those gorgeously ghoulish decorations and dress up your home from head to tail (pointed of course). For those of you who have your mansion decor macabre all year around, this is the month to treat yourself. Go ahead and get that ceramic porcelain with gold-leaf detail skeleton you have been eyeing all year, it will look stunning with the rest of your collection.

The coming of October also means, an all-new All Us All the Time Tip. If you did not catch last month’s tip on throwing a Halloween Fiendishly Fiesta Feast with a marvelous recipe for Maggots in Banshee Blood (Spanish rice), you can still check it out on our Archive Tip Page.

This month’s tip is on using Mischievous Menus if you are planning on having a sit down feast for your All Hallows Eve Ball. The Mischievous Menu will add some twisted fun that will have all your invited goblins and ghosts in stitches, or at least those who are not already. We also have preprinted Halloween Mischievous Menus available in our on-line store for those who don’t have time to make their own. As stated in the Boo in the Basket posting, preparing your mansion to entertain a spectral of ghosts, gremlins and ghouls is a lot of hard gruesome work. We have a boo bundle of party supplies to assist you with your phantom party entertaining.

We will be adding a few more fiendishly felted items to the site in the next couple of days which I will post entries on, but we already have a plethora of Halloween goodies up on the site including Boo Buttons and Magnets, Gothic Sachets, and an array of frightfully fun Halloween Gift Tags.
