All Us All the Time Gift Idea #3: Stationery Sachets

Teacup Stationery SachetParisian Stationery SachetEven though I am there with her assisting with the fabric choices and patterns for the stationery sachets, the anticipation for the finished product is like a child waiting for Christmas morning, and I am never disappointed. Once again, her two latest sachets, Winter Solstice and Rustic Holiday, are absolutely stunning and would make an exquisite gift for the holiday.

Petals Stationery SachetPetals Stationery SachetThe Stationery Sachets are hand-sewn with 3 pockets on the inside to hold whimsical and enchanting stationery, note sheets, envelopes, and two gel pens. Then the sachets can be folded and tied-up with a ribbon bow that is sewn on the back. They are really a home décor piece as well as stationery. You can display the sachets out on writing desk, coffee tables, bookshelves, mantles, or in guest rooms. I know at first you will hate to use the stationery because it is such a beautiful set, but the wonderful thing about the stationery used in our sachets is that it can also be purchased separately, so send off all those personal notes to dear friends and family because your stationery sachet can always be refilled.

Winter Solstice SachetWinter Solstice Stationery SachetThe latest additions to our stationery sachet collection are the Winter Solstice Stationery Sachet and the Rustic Holiday Stationery Sachet. The Winter Solstice Sachet is done in a rich blue star patterned fabric accompanied by fabrics of deep rich green, burgundy, and chestnut brown with leaves. This sachet is filled with enchanting stationery reproduced from my sister’s series of four stunning Winter Solstice watercolor. These unique designs reflect the wonders of winter and nature with a touch of whimsical fancy add-in, all tied together by the single element of a white feather. There is the white bird perched on a tree wearing a red scarf, a candle surrounded by pomegranates, mixed nuts, and a white feather that pops out against the green background, a blue wreath with white feathers, and finally white birds carrying off a gorgeous feathered gown into the winter solstice night. This stationery truly captures that special magic that winter offers.

Holiday Stationery SachetHoliday Stationery SachetThe Rustic Holiday Stationery Sachet captures the charm of being in a rustic log cabin in the mountains cozying up to the fire. The Rustic Holiday Sachet is done in a winter sage fabric with a leaf pattern paired with the same deep rich green, burgundy, and chestnut brown with leaves. This sachet is filled with charming stationery that is again reproduced from her original watercolor paintings. There is a pinecone, cinnamon sticks, an apple, a wreath, and a fire hearth basket. The details are quite stunning.

Gothic Stationery SachetGothic Stationery SachetIf you have someone on your gift list that loves to decorate their home for the holidays, these two stationery sachets will be adored. We also have 6 other lovely sachets available on our site, Spring Blossoms, Teacups, French Kitty, Raining Petals, Gothic, and then my personal favorite, the Parisian, which will brighten up any room. The Stationery Sachets come with stationery, note sheets, envelopes and gel pens.

All Us All the Time Gothic Stationery Sachets...We make gift giving ghoulish.

Then this ebony bird beguiling my sad fancy into smiling,
By the grave and stern decorum of the countenance it wore,
"Though thy crest be shorn and shaven, thou," I said, "art sure no craven.
Ghastly grim and ancient raven wandering from the Nightly shore
Tell me what thy lordly name is on the Night's Plutonian shore!"
Quoth the raven, "Nevermore."
Edgar Allan Poe

The Raven is one of my favorite poems; in fact, Poe is the one who inspired me to try to become a writer. His prose and tales with rolling cadences are mesmerizing to me. I long to create that type of spell binding magic of Poe and that of which my sister captured perfectly in her Victorian Gothic Sachets. I can’t be objective on this at all; my sister designed an absolutely gorgeous stationery set based on this fine-feathered friend, Mr. “Nevermore” Raven. The color palette is simply stunning with deep purples, reds, and oranges. Like the poem, her cards are quite mesmerizing with a brilliant colored Gothic rose, a vase full of gold and blue cobweb feathers, two black ravens in flight carrying a feathered gown lit up by a fantastic harvest moon, are they the beginning or the end of a mysterious tale? Then of course Mr. “Nevermore” Raven himself, looking ever so stately perched on his gourds with purple top hat and feathered tails. All the cards are reproduced from my sister’s recent original watercolor paintings.

Victorian Gothic Stationery Sachet
The Gothic Sachet is just as stunning as the stationery. The fabric is gorgeous with a rose pattern in deep red, whimsical vines in purple, floral bouquets in silver and black, rusted red pinstripes, and of course it wouldn’t be complete without a touch of black velvet and the ribbon would be black velvet too. Each Gothic Sachet comes with 8 Gothic Greeting Cards, 8 Gothic note sheets, 8 black envelopes, and 2 gel pens, silver and gold. They will go perfect on that antique writing desk in your sleeping chambers of your 13th century castle. If you don’t have a 13th century castle, I am so very sorry, but they will look gorgeous no matter where you reside.

All Us All the Time Stationery Sachets

Stationery SachetIntroducing our newest Stationery Sachet - "The Parisian", featuring our two latest greeting cards, "The Vintage Flower Cone" and "French Pillows". The Vintage Flower Cone stationery and note sheets are reproduced from my sister's recent watercolor of a fabric cone with irises. The color palette is very French country, with golden yellows, deep pinks, rich blues, and sage greens. Then beautiful irises beam from the top with their delicate pedals overflowing down the sides. My sister is known for her intricate detail work that is shown through the elaborate fabric patterns of the cone and then the delicate draping flower pedals. Also reproduced from one of her fabulous watercolor paintings is the French Pillows stationery. This stationery is again filled with the rich and vibrant colors of French country. Three pillows with alluring patterns nestled on top of each other with la poire or pear perched on top, which gives it that certain je ne sais quoi.

The sachet itself is a patchwork of floral and striped fabric hand sewn together with a ribbon tie creating an elegant three-pocket sachet. These charming stationery sachets filled with the enchanting Parisian greeting cards and note sheets will abet the revival of the lost art of letter writing. They will bring back the romanticism of letter writing and the intimacy of receiving a personal handwritten note with this whimsical stationery. Display them on your writing desk, or they can be folded and tied with a ribbon bow to be tucked away in your dresser drawer until you need to send a note of gratitude or a well wish to a dear friend. These stationery sachets can also add instant charm with a touch of Victorian and French Country to your home's guest room delighting your guests. If you are searching for a special gift for a friend, sister, mother, wife, teacher, caregiver, or bride-to-be, these adorable sachets will sure to be cherished. With the rich floral patterns and coordinating ribbon tie, the sachets do not even require gift-wrapping. Each sachet comes with 8 blank greeting cards, 8 note sheets, 8 envelopes and 2 gel pens. Also to help you celebrate this day of love, here is a sweet treat for your sweetheart...and please don’t think that a sweetheart is required to indulge in this sweet sensation:

Strawberries Ducale
Strawberries Ducale

Quite simply this is fresh strawberries with 5 luscious small bowls of chocolate, creams, sugar and liqueur to dip them in.

12 fresh large ripe strawberries, washed, left whole, top stem removed

1.5oz Gran Marnier
2oz powdered sugar
2oz sour cream
2oz whipped cream (whipped & fluffy)

Chocolate Ganache:
2.5oz dark semi sweet chocolate, chopped fine
1.5oz heavy whipping cream

• You will need 5 2oz china or glass ramekin bowls.
• Place Gran Marnier, sugar, sour cream and whipped cream each in a separate bowl.
• Heat to boiling a couple inches of water in a small pot
• Heat heavy whipping cream in a plastic or glass measuring cup in microwave just long enough to make it rise as it heats, about 10-25 seconds
• Place chocolate in a mixing bowl over hot water and add warm cream, mixing well with a whisk (what you have now is warm chocolate ganache) - remove from heat immediately
• Place chocolate in the remaining 2oz china or glass ramekin bowl and serve with the other 4 bowls of creams, sugar, and liqueur for dipping the strawberries – that’s it!

A quite simple and elegant dessert that is easy to make and will earn you rave reviews from your Valentine!

Note: If you are in a rush, chocolate syrup heated in the microwave will work too, but not quite as luscious as the chocolate ganache.

Bonappetit and Happy Valentine’s Day!
